Girls' Trip 2016

We took a Farley ladies + adopted Farley Valerie girls' trip.  We had a quick layover in mom's hometown, Seattle ...

Life imitating art ;)

... and then continued on to Victoria, British Columbia. :) Such an incredible town! Beautiful, lush, European-feeling, clean, water-front .... We had such a fun time.

Parliament Building...

The Empress Hotel

Holding a real jellyfish ... a different type that doesn't sting, but still not something I thought I'd ever see someone doing.

Spent an afternoon at Buchart Gardens.  Pictures just don't do it justice...

Fun that the restaurant at our Hotel was called the London Tube.  Made Valerie and me pretty happy. :)

We all agreed that the Farley girls trip needs to be a recurring thing. So much fun to be with my people!

Haley

This girl  ... she entertains me, keeps me laughing, makes me happy ;)

She had been unofficially 'learning' how to drive for a couple of months -- just around the neighborhood.  But this was the day that she offically earned her learner's permit, just after her 15th birthday.  She is much more cautious than Christian was, so it takes some coaxing to get her behind the wheel, but she'll get the hang of it eventually.

She still spends much of her $$ and time at concerts, always trying to actually meet the band afterwards.

She absolutely loved performing with Mr. King, the world's best band teacher. :)

Mike is grateful for these 2 sports-loving daughters. :)

She convinced me to let her get her hair colored.  What started as a temporary color has faded but lasted so much longer than we thought it would! We love it, though.

Haley served on the Bountiful City Youth Council will many of her friends and neighbors.  Her experience hasn't been everything she hoped it would be, but it'll look good on a resume, right?

She rocked her solo in the 9th grade talent show!  She arranged a mash-up of several popular songs and sang her heart out.  I couldn't have been more proud!

She went on the band trip to southern California, and had a crazy-paced but fun time performing and playing in the sun.

She taught a kids' ukelele class during the summer, earning good money and having fun entertaining the neighbors, too.

Hiked to Ensign Peak with dad and went to Lagoon a few times with the rest of us.

Music follows her everywhere, which makes my heart happy. :)
