The kids & I headed to So. Cal for spring break to stay with the Blakes. We're quite the expert road-trippers. Hallelujah for movies in the car!
There's always lots of good cousin time, pool time, sister movie time, and sometimes a major attraction thrown in. This year was Universal Studios, which our kids haven't been to before. Here's the evidence of a great spring break .....
Check out this cool park -- there were little bronze people statues all over. The kids spent the whole time finding them and posing with them.

Beach! Nevermind that it was only 60 degrees that day, or that the water was much colder. My kids were all over a beach day.
That would be Haley venturing out further in the water than her thinner-skinned siblings. Everyone else skirted the edges.
Universal Studios! I still remember some of the same stuff from when I was a kid .... the giant Jaws shark, the tram ride through movie sets, the special effects show. City Walk was new for me -- like Downtown Disney with stores and restaurants but everything is lit up neon at night.
Workin' the red carpet... I love how completely Christian was into this. His face is priceless. :)

The set from the Tom Cruise alien invasion movie, War of the Worlds. That's a full-on jet that they destroyed for the set.

Oh my goodness. What an awesome way to spend spring break!!! Some of the best memories of my life involve cousins. There is just NOTHING like cousins. Looks like an AWESOME time!!!! So glad you could go!
