Since mom and dad are leaving for their mission to Africa next week, the frequency of family gatherings has definitely increased and it's been so fun. These are pictures from the last couple of Sunday dinners ...
After dinner, the kids scatter (outside to play or downstairs to make forts) and the adults just sit and talk, play games, feed babies ... whatever. It's just fun to be together.
In mom and dad's absence, the rest of us are planning to rotate monthly Sunday dinners so we'll still see each other fairly often. But it won't quite be the same and we all know it.

That looks like the best time ever. What fantastic memories, not only for the kids but for the adults. I wish my family were close enough to do that. So cool!! The fact that the family is so close, though, will make the Mayfield's mission such a special thing for the kids. They'll miss them, of course, but what an example!! Awesome. :)

Zimbabwe. They'll be CES missionaries.
