A picture is worth ....

Pictures of various things from random times.

First, I was completely unaware of my mother-in-law's mad skills in the hair braiding department. I just assumed that because she raised so many boys and can talk sports lingo with anyone that the girlie hair thing wasn't her thing. But check out my girls one morning back when Grandma was babysitting. Impressive, Judy! :)
Oldie but a goodie of Christian and his fellow 2nd grade buddies.  These 3 boys were inseparable and had a shared love of Star Wars and Legos.  Their teacher called them the Cal Tech 3 because she just knew "they (would) all become engineers or architects or something!"  Funny kids.  I love how Christian is trying to use his skills with the Force to .... what
That same little boy is now this guy. He's such a guy, you know? Deep voice, almost as tall as me, bigger feet than his dad, stud alert 'on' most of the time. He's got some skill in the music department.... He just made the top group of trumpet players for Jazz Band next year and is often found with guitar in hand.
Haley & her friend, Lucy, both went on to compete in the County Spelling Bee.  They did incredibly well and are studying up for next year.  Smart cookies, these two.
The only picture I have of Haley's sports activities this year.  She played soccer and basketball and is a fierce thing on the court/field.  Thank heavens for a good dad and neighbor who coached her.  Haley is definitely her father's daughter when it comes to sports.
Future culinary specialists -- Kale, Elle & Rachel -- concocted 'salads' while their mommies had a church meeting.  Elle has her mother's food preferences.  She'll share a yummy salad with me anytime.
Pretty sure this was at a Utah game and that Elle was the photographer.
My cute California nieces heading out to Prom. Love those girls.
My cute mom yesterday on her 71st birthday. She's awfully young for being so old. :)
I LOVE this picture. No idea who they are but the story is clear. Can you imagine what an amazing surprise for that little boy? "All I want for Christmas, Santa, is for my daddy to come home ...." Priceless.
