The kids & I have taken off to the Blakes' house for UEA these past couple of years. We're getting really good at that ugly drive. This time, we did it with only 2 stops ... Beaver, Vegas and we're there. These kids are awesome little travelers.

All the kids really wanted to do was hang out with cousins, and possibly a theme park. We also snuck a beach visit in, too. Since Blakes were still in school, we took grandma and GPS'd our way to Santa Monica. I'm becoming quite the freeway expert -- just took the 2 to the 5 to the 110 to the 10 to the Pacific Coast Highway. Gotta love LA.
We got back to Blakes and the 2 littles decided to keep the water fun going in the pool.
And then the tub....
We had some fun chaos when this little guy found his way into the house. Grandma kept calling them geckos, which to me means a cuter frog-like little creature. This guy was definitely a lizard. We corralled him and then scooted him out the door ... with plenty of screaming from the girlies.
We decided to squeeze in a visit to California Adventure, since my kids haven't been there since before Elle was born.

Haley thought it was pretty hilarious to meet the characters, even from toddler tv shows.
We rode rides,
posed for lots of pictures ....
.... saw more characters -- Squirrel!
... saw an Aladdin live show,
... and were still lookin' cool after an hour wait for the Toy Story ride.
Erin & I snuck in a late night movie, went to Ali's choir concert, watched her get ready for the Homecoming dance, had cousin sleepovers in the loft, had an In & Out run, shopped the Main St. in their town, and dreaded the long drive home. Sure wish Blakes lived closer. But if they have to live away, at least it's a fun place to visit.
