July 24th in Utah is quite the holiday. Pioneer Day, to be exact.... to celebrate the pioneers coming into this lovely place and calling it home. July is very patriotic around here.
For the Bountiful parade this year, our church's Young Women made a float and we walked in the parade behind it. Haley & Elle were excited to walk with me.
Pretty fun to wear the yellow "Mormon Helping Hands" t-shirts. They are worn all over the world whenever the church is involved in disaster clean-up. We used the shirts to show ways that our YW are helping others in our community.
(Check out this cool float! Those kids were baking in there but at least they got to ride.)
The parade route was only 1.3 miles, so it wasn't a bad walk at all ... despite the 100 degree heat.
